FAQ - Defining Job Rates Without Specifying Jobber in the Process master

Which job rate will get picked in the Job order, if an item/article’s rate is defined for a specific Jobber as well as without Jobber?

Ans: When a Job Order is raised for a Jobber, against whom a specific job rate is defined in the process master, system will always pick that particular rate. For all other cases where job rate is not defined for the specific jobber, system will pick job rate from the common definition.

Example

• Cutting process - SKU001 (Shirt) - Job rate for ‘Jobber A’ - Rs. 20/-

• Cutting process - SKU001 (Shirt) - 'No specific jobber' rate - Rs. 18.50/-

In this case, when a Job order is made for 'Jobber A' for SKU001, system will always pick Rs.20/- as job rate, for other jobbers it will pick Rs.18.50/-.

Can we define, article specific job rate for Sub-Assembly Item (SAI)?

Ans: No, SAI are only allowed with the Assembly Items in our system, hence rate cannot be defined article wise for SAI.

Is their any role/profile to restrict the definition of job rate without any jobber in the process master?

Ans: No, currently there is no separate access control to restrict this. Users with access to the Process Master can define as per their requirement.

We have specific agreement with all the jobbers and rates are defined in the process master, does this enhancement will impact us in any manner?

Ans: No, this enhancement will not impact such entity. They can continue working in their as-is manner.

Which Job Orders/Receipts will get impacted when job rate is updated for specific Item/Article in the process master where Jobber is not specified?

Ans: The system will update only those Jobber’s Orders or Receipts which are open and for whom no specific job rate definition exist in the process master. Where job rates are defined for the specific/named jobber, system will only update their documents when their is a change under the specific jobber.
