Support of GS1 code during Item creation via Excel import and other enhancement

Module: Inventory → Product Definition → Item Hierarchy → Item

Enhancement Summary:

  • Now our import Excel for Item creation supports the generation of GS1 code, which was currently only possible from the front end.

  • This will make the item creation process fast and seamless without manual intervention.

Additionally, we have enhanced a few areas wrt Gs1 code;

  • In the item master form, the GS1 code will not regenerate unless the OEM barcode field is set to NULL, ensuring proper care of user mistakes, which cause unnecessary code skipping. The same behaviour is also replicated in the Manage item window.

  • Columns in the Manage Item window now support filtering.

Procurement Price Chart - Excel Import

Module: Admin → Utilites → Data Import → Procurement Price Chart

  • Previously, users had to manually add or update Price Chart records one by one, making the process time-consuming and prone to errors.

  • With the introduction of the Excel Import feature, users can now efficiently add or update multiple records in bulk.

  • This enhancement streamlines data entry, reduces manual effort, ensures accuracy, and improves overall efficiency in managing price changes.

Define Job Rate Without Specifying The Jobber In The Process Master

Module: Production → Setup → Manage → Process.

Impact Area: This support will cover both UI and Excel import functionality for Process Master.

What’s New?

  • You can now define process rates without assigning a jobber. This is especially helpful for:

    • Organizations with high jobber turnover, where jobbers change frequently.

    • In-house job work setups, where fixed rates are preferred across items or articles, regardless of the jobber.

  • This simplifies configuration and helps streamline operations where specifying a jobber is not critical.
