Prerequisites for Ginesys 12.28.7 Upgrade

From Ginesys version 12.28.7, selected server-side components are being upgraded as part of Ginesys’ transition to the .NET 8.0 technology stack. This upgrade is an infrastructure enhancement and does not introduce any functional changes.

From version 12.28.6 onward, required runtime components must be available on the Ginesys Application Server before upgrading. The IT Administrator must install these prerequisites before updating to version 12.28.7 or higher.

Essential Components before starting the update:

  1. Operating System: Windows Server 2016 (64-bit) or above

  2. Visual C++ Redistributable:

    1. Visual C++ 2015–2022 Redistributable (x64)

  3. IIS (Internet Information Services):

    1. IIS 10.0 or above

    2. .NET Extensibility, ISAPI Extensions, and ISAPI Filters enabled

  4. NET 8.0 (x64) Hosting Bundle:

    1. Required to run .NET 8.0–based web applications on IIS

    2. Microsoft Download Link: Download ​https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/thank-you/runtime-aspnetcore-8.0.22-windows-hosting-bundle-installer Core Runtime 8.0 – Windows Hosting Bundle (x64) (from official Microsoft .NET download page)

  5. Restart Required: The system restart is required after installing the hosting bundle

Enhancement in Data Import - DC Against Order

Previously, the DC Against Order Excel import supported only limited scenarios. Users could not create multiple DCs for the same Destination Site from a single file, and the template also missed several DC-level fields—so users often had to depend on manual entry in the UI for cases like different DC dates or predefined document numbers.

With this enhancement, the import is now fully flexible for bulk DC creation. You can create multiple DCs (including for the same Destination Site) and handle all common operational combinations using one Excel file. The updated template now includes all relevant fields to match the DC form, including Scheme Doc Format, Scheme Doc Number, DC Date, DC Remarks, Agent, and Transporter.

The issue occurred when ledger names contained specific terms (e.g., “To”), which has now been handled correctly during import.

Franchise Secondary Store Transaction Data Visibility Now Fixed

Data was not visible in the UI when an entry was made through the frontend due to the Channel type getting stored in the database as null. This issue has now been resolved.

ISD Field Now Editable and Null ISD Error Resolved in POS Customer Master After 12.28.0 Update

The ISD field has been re-enabled for editing, and the error preventing users from adding ISD or saving customer details when ISD is null has been fixed in the system
