Manage Users in Ginesys One as Admin
Ginesys One empowers Account Holders & Admins with a robust feature set to manage users efficiently. This includes resetting their passwords, removing inactive users, and promoting or demoting user roles as required.
Reset User Password
To reset the password for a Ginesys One user, follow these steps:
From the Ginesys One home page, tap on your profile icon on the top right to open the Profile section.
Tap on the Team section tab towards the right to open the Team page.
Tap on the three dot menu next to the User and select the Reset Password option.
A popup dialog will appear, providing you with multiple options to reset the user password.
1. Automatic Password Generation
By default, Ginesys One will automatically share the new password on the user’s email.
Leave the 'Auto-generate password and send to user’s email address' option checked.
2. Manually Create Password
To manually create the new password for the user, uncheck the ‘Auto-generate password and send to user’s email address' option. Enter the user’s new password and then re-enter to confirm.
3. Make Password Change Mandatory
Keep the ‘Require password change on first login’ option checked to make it mandatory for user to change their password when they first log in to Ginesys One. Uncheck this option to let the user continue using the automatically or manually generated password.
Once done, tap on the Reset Password button. The user password will be updated or sent to the user’s email based on your selection.
Remove User from Ginesys One
To remove a user from your Ginesys One Team, follow these steps:
From the Team page, tap on the three dot menu next to the User and select Remove User.
A confirmation dialog will appear, tap on the Remove User button to confirm deletion or press the Cancel button to keep the user.
Once confirmed, the user will be removed from your Ginesys One team and will no longer be able to access their account.
Promote a Ginesys One User from Member to Admin
To promote a user in your Ginesys One Team, follow these steps:
From the Team page, tap on the three dot menu next to a Member User and select Promote User.
A confirmation dialog will appear, tap on the Promote User button to confirm promotion or press the Cancel button to keep the current role.
Once confirmed, the user’s role will be promoted from Member to Admin.
Demote a Ginesys One User from Admin to Member
To promote a user in your Ginesys One Team, follow these steps:
From the Team page, tap on the three dot menu next to an Admin User and select Demote User.
A confirmation dialog will appear, tap on the Demote User button to confirm demotion or press the Cancel button to keep the current role.
Once confirmed, the user’s role will be demoted from Admin to Member.
