Adding, Editing, and Deleting Users

The ERP users and their roles are created and managed in theĀ Admin module at the ERP level. This article shows how toĀ add, edit, and deleteĀ ERPĀ Users in Ginesys ERP.

Prerequisites

  1. The Admin users' role must have access to theĀ AddĀ app operation in theĀ UserĀ feature in Ginesys Web -Ā Admin - Security - User - UsersĀ throughĀ Admin - Security - User - Roles.

  2. The Roles must be created.

Step-by-step guide

The following steps are to be executed:

  1. Go to AdminĀ - Security - User - Users.

  2. UsersĀ module opens.

  3. Click onĀ AddĀ button.

  4. UserĀ window will open.

  5. You will get two sections - User Information and Tag Site.

  6. User Information: Put in the User No., Name, Login Name, Password, Menu Role,Profile (all these are mandatory fields). There are other fields like Report Role, Profile etc.Ā The

    assigned to each Ginesys user can be seen from the list view of the User master, without opening each record individually.Ā The privilege toĀ Ignore lock days on last date of any open accounting year (only for financial documents)Ā can be assignedĀ through a check box (placed at the end of User Information section) during Add / Modify of Users.Ā

  7. Tag Site:

    1. Select the Sites which the user can access from Available Site section.

    2. Click on the right arrow to shift the selected site to the Assigned Site section.

  8. Click on the Save & Close button to save the new user.

Step-by-step guide

The following steps are to be executed:

  1. Go to AdminĀ - Security - User - Users.

  2. UsersĀ module opens.

  3. Double click on the user you want to modify.Ā 

  4. User window will open populating all the records.Ā

  5. You cannot modify the User No.

  6. Modify the records as per your requirement.Ā 

  7. Click on the Save & Close button to save the modifies data.

  1. The users' role must have access to theĀ DeleteĀ app operation in theĀ UserĀ feature inĀ Admin - Security - User - RoleĀ throughĀ Admin - Security - User - Roles.

Step-by-step guide

The following steps are to be executed:

  1. Go to AdminĀ - Security - User - Users.

  2. UsersĀ module opens.

  3. Select one user you want to delete.Ā 

  4. Go to Action > Delete.

  5. "Are you sure you want to delete current Record?" -Ā this message will be displayed.Ā 

  6. If you click onĀ Yes,Ā thenĀ the role will be deleted permanently and you will get a message -Ā "Record deleted successfully".
