Create Ad Hoc Packet in Zwing
To transfer inventory from one site to another, the user must create a packet by adding the required inventory. This packet can then be used for seamless inventory transfer between sites.
You can create a packet against an advice or as an ad hoc packet. Here, you will find the process to generate an Ad Hoc Packet. To generate a Packet against advice, click here.
Create Ad Hoc Packet
To create an Ad Hoc Packet, go to Inventory → Packet. Here, you can view all previously generated packets.
To create a new packet, click on +New Packet.
Select the store for which you want to create the packet.
Select the Ad Hoc option to generate a packet, choose the Destination Type, and then select the appropriate Destination.
For Store to Store transfer, select Destination Type: Store and choose the store. For transfer to a Supplier, select Destination Type: Supplier and choose the supplier.
Select the Source Stockpoint from which you want to transfer the inventory.
Add Description, Remark, and Attachments if needed.
Add Normal Products to Packet
Once you have added the header level details to create packet, you can add the products to the packet.
You can add products by scanning the barcode or searching by product name.
If the product has normal tracking, it will be added to the grid, where you can enter the quantity and other relevant details.
You can directly upload the products into the list by importing the csv into the system.
You can import a CSV file, a Plain Text file, or paste the Barcode directly.
Add Batch Products to Packet
You can add batch products by scanning the barcode or searching by product name.
Once you select the product, the available Batch Numbers will be listed. You can choose the batches to add to the packet.
You can add the quantity to be transferred for the selected batch number.
Click on Update to add the product to the packet.
Add Serial Products to Packet
You can add serial products by scanning the barcode or searching by product name.
Once you select the product, the available Serial Numbers will be listed. You can choose the serials to add to the packet.
Your selected serial number will be in the list, you can add remark or attachement against the serial number as well.
Click on Update to add the serial of product to the packet.
Save Packet as Draft
Once you have added the header details and products to the packet, click on Continue to proceed.
Click on Continue to proceed with saving the packet.
Once you click Continue, you will be redirected to the Preview page, where you can review the Packet, save it as a draft, or make changes before finalizing it.
You can click on Save Withpout Seal (Draft), to save the packet as draft.
Your packet will be saved as a draft, and its status will be marked as Draft.
Click on the available options to discard, modify, or save the drafted Packet and complete the process.
Once a Packlet draft is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Ensure you review the draft carefully before deleting it, as this action is irreversible.
Seal Packet to Complete the Packet
Once you have reveived the packed details, you can save the packet and complete the process.
On the Review Packet page, click Seal Packet to finalize and complete the packet process.
Your Packet will be saved, and you will be redirected to the Packet Summary page, where you can review the final details.
Your packet has been successfully generated and is now available for the goods transfer process.
You can print the GRN by clicking on Print Packet to generate a copy.
Success! You have generated the packet successfully.
Void Packet
If there’s any issue or mistake in Packet creation, you can void the saved Packet.
Go to the Packet Summary page, click on the top-right corner options, and select Void Packet.
Click on Void Packet, enter the reason, add remarks, and provide the void code.
Confirm the voiding of the Packet by clicking Confirm Void, and the packet will be voided automatically.
The advice will remain in the Packet list with a Void status.
The packet creation process ensures accurate inventory tracking and seamless stock transfers. Verifying details before finalizing helps prevent discrepancies, ensuring transparency and efficiency in operations.
