How To: Manage Task Menu in Ginesys POS

The Tasks menu contains an array of buttons that enable you to perform some necessary tasks to make the billing operational like creating a new session, closing a session, printing the bill, taking a deposit, etc. These buttons have simple yet vital functions without which using POS might be impossible. 

The Tasks menu has several options. These are:

  1. Every financial transaction in a POS terminal or till is logged through a user or cashier session, to keep the POS transactions secure. The session keeps track of all transactions done within the scope of it. How To: Create a session through the POS Tasks menu describes the process of creation of a session. 

  2. The amount present in the drawer at the beginning of the session is called the Opening Amount. How To: Enter Opening Amount describes the process of entering the opening amount.

  3. Closing Amount refers to the amount of cash present in the cash drawer while closing the current session. Enter Closing Amount describes the process of entering the closing amount.|

  4. Exchange of cash between tills or cash counters, payments of petty cash, etc. are often done within an ongoing session by cashiers. How To: Use Pay In / Pay Out at Store describes the process of pay in / out.

  5. After every financial transaction in a POS terminal, the user or cashier needs to log out from the session in which he was working. This is done to keep the POS transactions secure. How To: Close session through POS Tasks menu describes the process of the close session through the POS task menu.

  6. The Close Session (Blind) option enables you to close the session whenever necessary, without having to enter the Opening and Closing Amount. How To: Use the Close Session (Blind) feature describes the process of closing session blind. 

  7. The Printing is ON/OFF (Click to change) feature is a toggle option which enables you to know if your system is connected to a printer. How To: Use the Printing is ON/OFF (Click to change) feature describes the process to on or off printing mode.

  8. The Return Mode is ON/OFF (Click to change) feature is a toggle option which enables you to set your particular system into a return only mode. How To: Use the Return Mode is ON/OFF (Click to change) feature describes the process to on or off printing mode. 

  9. On certain incidents, option helps you to switch user using different credentials, while still working in the same session from the same terminal. How To: Switch Users describes the process to switch users.

  10. POS Order is created to record the details of the order placed by the customer as in most cases the POS order is only raised for a customized item. How To: Create a POS Order from POS / POS Back Office describes the process of
