Exchange using RFID Scan in WebPOS

The Exchange feature lets you record exchange transactions against a previous sale invoice when a customer requests a replacement. This can be done using RFID Scanning for quick product identification.

If you are already familiar with selecting the invoice and products for exchange, you can skip to the section where you can learn how to add replacement products for exchange using RFID Scan.


Switch to Exchange Mode

  1. On the billing page, change the mode from Billing to Exchange using the option on top.

  1. Once you switch to Exchange mode, the + Add Exchange Items from Invoice option will be visible in the cart section. Tap on it to continue.

Select Products to Exchange from Invoice

  1. You can search for an invoice using its transaction number, or use the customer's phone or name to list respective invoices to choose from.

  1. Select the required invoice and then pick the products to exchange, along with the quantity and reason for exchange. Once done, tap Continue.

Add Replacement Products for Exchange using RFID

  1. The exchange products now will be listed in the cart, with + Add Product for Exchange button underneath them. Tap on the button for the product that you first wish to add the replacement for.
    The button will changes to Cancel Adding Product… and you can now continue adding the replacement product.

  1. Tap on the Scan RFID button to open the RFID Scan Session dialog.

You can only add replacement products having a unit price greater than or equal to unit price of original exchange product, and with the same unit of measurement (UOM).

  1. Now scan the replacement product’s RFID tag, and the product will automatically appear under the Preview Items section. Select the batch, serial or price if required then tap on the Add All to Cart button add scanned replacement product to the cart.

  2. Once added, the new product will be visible just below the exchange product separated by a 'to be exchanged with' label.
